Promoted Springboard Innovation
A number of upstream research results from the OVGU in the field of Software Engineering were already attributed a high innovation potential for practical robotics applications at an early stage. These include findings from the areas of:
- Task sequence optimisation
- Optimisation of effective trajectories and paths
- Model predictive path tracking
Ideas for practical applications could already be fundamentally demonstrated at that time.
However, these fundamentals were not sufficient for the introduction of improvements into the economic market. Further validation of the research results in an economic-technological context was necessary. To achieve this, the research groups led by and successfully applied for the VIP+ funding programme of the BMBF. The VIP+ AuRora project was launched to validate the existing innovation potential.
The gap between research and application is currently being closed by the work and financing of the AuRora project group. It is expected that the innovation potential will be successfully tested and proven and serve as a basis for a variety of application domains as a basis for springboard innovations.
The work within the project is strongly focused on the possibilities of integration into existing business processes. Therefore, we are always interested in questions, criticism and cooperation that point out or remove hurdles in the integration of our research results. We are therefore always happy to hear from contacts who are interested in the AuRora project and who can contribute additional questions and impulses.
